Salam Kitty began DJing as a sonic exploration into their mixed cultural roots and queer identity, using music as a way to connect to their heritage and local community as co-founder of Scottish Queer BPoC party Mojxmma.

Following on from the success of Mojxmma, Salam Kitty has grown as an independent DJ becoming a staple in the Scottish scene, having played alongside the likes of LSDXOXO, JYOTY and BLUMITSU, and at some of Scotland’s most infamous parties including Ponyboy, Healthy, OH141, Riverside Festival, and the Art School.

For VISLA FM, Salam is bringing you a taste of Glasgow with an eclectic mix of bass heavy and percussive genres with fun edits, afro-electronic and left-field experimental techno and electro.
