Memu is a Taipei-based DJ, producer, performer, and curator. She came up through punk before finding her footing in Orphéesynth, a synthesizer band where she layered sampler textures and vocals across dub and ambient terrain. She was also a member of 勸世宗親會 (@trancezonefamily), one of Taiwan’s most distinctive underground electronic collectives. She has since developed her own singular sound — one that resists easy categorization.

Her sets carry the grit of punk, the weight of bass-heavy electronics, and a tension that sits somewhere between the mechanical and the organic. On the floor, her music reads like ritual — disorienting rhythms, shifted pressure, the body responding before the mind has caught up.

This one-hour set moves through bass-heavy and experimental sounds — dark, physical, and hard to pin down. She also weaves in selections from Taiwan’s underground punk scene: raw, direct, and rarely heard beyond the island.

그녀의 세트는 펑크의 거친 입자, 베이스 중심 일렉트로닉스의 무게감, 그리고 기계적인 것과 유기적인 것 사이 어딘가에 자리한 긴장감을 담고 있습니다. 플로어에서 그녀의 음악은 하나의 의식처럼 작동합니다 — 리듬은 어긋나고, 압력은 이동하며, 몸이 먼저 반응합니다.

이번 1시간짜리 세트는 베이스 중심의 실험적인 사운드를 넘나들며 — 어둡고 신체적이며 한마디로 정의하기 어려운 음악입니다. 대만 언더그라운드 펑크 씬의 선곡도 함께 선보이며, 이 섬 특유의 날것 그대로의 에너지를 전달합니다.
