Super Smash Bros. Melee에서 이름을 따온 도쿄를 거점으로 둔 퀴어 디제이 MELEETIME. IDM에서 영향을 받아 예상을 초월한 실험적인 플레이를 좋아하면서도, 댄스 플로어에 중점을 둔 폭넓은 선곡으로 도쿄 내의 언더그라운드 클럽에서 다양한 활동을 펼치는 그녀. Electro, Bass, Breaks, Ghetto Tech, Baile Funk, Jersey Club 등 중후한 비트부터 질주감 넘치는 해피한 사운드까지 파워풀하게 질러내는 MELEETIME만의 사운드는 단순히 퀴어 클럽들만을 벗어나 시부야의 세련된 믹스덱부터 산속 어딘가의 레이브까지 도쿄 전역으로 넓게 퍼져나가고 있다. 또한 2022년부터는 퍼커셔니스트 CU_Good_Bye와 함께 디제이 X 퍼커션 유닛 Deadman’s Chappie로써도 활동중에 있다.

MELEETIME is a Tokyo-based queer DJ whose name derives from the famous game Super Smash Bros. Melee. Even though with her heavy IDM influences and preferences to play outside of the box with her experimental tastes, MELEETIME is excelling in a wide range of underground clubs in Tokyo with her vast selection of dancefloor-focused beats. MELEETIME’s unique sound, which derives from a wide range of genres including Electro, Bass, Breaks, Ghetto Tech, Baile Funk, Jersey Club, etc, consists of heavy hitting beats to speedy and happy melodies that not only entertain the queer clubs in Shinjuku, but also from the sophisticated decks of Shibuya, to outdoor raves somewhere in the mountains. Also, in 2022, she is a part of a DJ X Percussion unit, Deadman’s Chappie, with her percussionist friend CU_Good_Bye.
